In Loving Memory of Bob
Bob was born May 5th, 2018 (Cinco de Mayo). For close to two years he was a stray in Queen Anne in Seattle before being adopted by Simon in January 2021.
From the start, Bob was always a shy yet loving cat. He would make his love known only from a distance, or late at night when he came to snuggle up to you if he thought you were asleep.
He was a strong cat, striving to forge his own path in life — whether that be seeking to escape the apartment whenever Simon came home from work, knocking things off the table to show you he was the boss, or just generally acting like he owned any room he was in.
When Simon moved to New York City in March of 2024, he accompanied him on the cross-country journey. Bob soon made his home in New York, taking over the three-bed apartment Simon shared with two roommates. He quickly converted the only cat-hating roommate into Bob's biggest fan.
Bob always had a big heart, even when he didn't show it readily. He was a sensitive boy. He always ran to the door when Simon came home from long business trips, even though he then pretended to keep his distance for the rest of the night to prove via nonchalant detachment that the absence didn't bother him.
The world could not ask for a kinder, stronger, more handsome, or more majestic cat than Bob.
He passed away from cancer in the early hours of May 16th, 2026.
Bob will be dearly missed.
